Travel Program

The WSCC Alumni Association offers a travel program for the community. There are usually six excursions a year. Depending upon the destination, transportation may be via deluxe motorcoach or via air. Group travel is a safe and cost-effective way to explore and make new friendships.

 To Kill A Mockingbird Play

Harper Lee's American classic comes to Broadway with Richard Thomas in the role of Atticus Finch. Inspired by Lee's own childhood in Alabama, the play features one of literature's towering symbols of integrity and righteousness in the character of Atticus Finch, based on Lee's own father. The character of Scout, based on Lee herself, has come to define youthful innocence- and its ineviable loss- for generation after generation of readers around the world. The fee includes transportation from Wallace State and ticket for lower balcony seating. There will be a stop for lunch (at your expense) prior to the show.

A lively and colorful journey through ancient Egypt, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat follows the rags-to-riches story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. Spectacular visuals and an enchanting score packed with hit songs, including "Close Every Door to Me," "Go, Go, Go Joseph" and "Any Dream Will Do". Includes transportation, a Southern buffet lunch at the Plantatoin House Restaurant, Premium Zone A seating at the show, all taxes and gratuities.

2024 Autumn Getaway Tour

With over 300 buildings on the National Register of Historic Buildings, you will see why Bardstown was voted the Most Beautiful Small Town in America. We will stand where a President was born, eat in a stagecoach tavern established in 1779, and visit civil war museums. My Old Kentucky Home and the Shaker Village will be beautifully dressed in autumn splendor. Quilts, murals, delicious meals and fabric shopping all await us in Paducah! And what trip would be complete without an unusual stop like the Casey Jones Museum and the Old Country Store! 2024 Winter Wonderland Holiday

The Bavarian town of Helen knows how to celebrate the holidays and is filled with wreaths, lights and artist-decorated Christmas trees. The German-inspired town is a great backdrop for a picture-perfect holiday-it is like walking into a fairy tale! Travelers will also experience "the most wonderful time of the year" in Dahlonega. The historic square, shops, and restaurants shine in their holiday finest during the Old Fashioned Christmas celebration. Trip price includes three nights in Helen, 7 meals, motorcoach transportation, admission fees, taxes, luggage handling, and most gratutities. Do I have to be a former student or graduate to travel with the Alumni Association? 
No, anyone may travel with the Association 

Do Alumni Association members receive a discount? 
Yes, members of the Association typically receive a $100 per person discount on overnight trips. 

How do I join the Alumni Association? 

You did not have to attend or graduate from WSCC to join the Alumni Association. Membership dues benefit WSCC student scholarships.

Do people travel alone? 
Absolutely – we have people that travel alone or up to groups of four to a room. If you would like a roommate, you can express this to the travel coordinator and they will put you in touch with anyone else seeking a roommate. 

What are the benefits of group travel? 
You can leave all the planning and details to us! Just get on the bus (or plane) and we take you where you need to go to have a wonderful time. Group travel is a safe way to explore destinations – both new ones and those you may choose to revisit.  

If a traveler requires a refund and paid by credit card, they will be refunded, less the credit card fees.
