WORKFORCE AND ADULT EDUCATION TRAININGS

What are bootcamps?

Bootcamps provide training and certifications to begin working in the field or serve as an entry point to begin your educational journey. Prior to beginning these bootcamps, you must come to bootcamp onboarding on campus, where you will complete an assessment and receive additional information about your bootcamp.

Who can participate?

Individuals 17 years of age or older and who are not currently enrolled in high school.

What does it cost?

Registration/Tuition costs vary. Certain courses have either reduced or no tuition cost, although there may be different additional costs associated with your chosen bootcamp such as immunizations required for the healthcare bootcamps. There are Workforce Registration Fees for assessing and processing the application, supporting general operations of the registration process, and student insurance. The Registration Fee is non-refundable.

Additional perks of bootcamps?

Once you complete these bootcamps, if you choose to continue your education you will receive credits for the bootcamps and these classes will already be on your transcript. In addition to the certifications below, students will also complete Alabama Career Essentials (ACE) and receive an Alabama Certified Worker Certificate of Recognition which also gives them a scholarship for a 3 or 4 credit hour course.

Please note: Bootcamps change each semester so, not all bootcamps are offered year round though some may be.
