Travel Program
The WSCC Alumni Association offers a travel program for the community. There are usually six excursions a year. Depending upon the destination, transportation may be via deluxe motorcoach or via air. Group travel is a safe and cost-effective way to explore and make new friendships. Upcoming Trips:
2025 Fall on the Farm
September 24, 2025
Hazel Green, Ardmore, and New Market, AL
Fall on the Farm is a one-day autumn adventure through the heart of North Alabama’s countryside. Scheduled for September 24, 2025, this immersive event invites participants to enjoy the charm of rural life with stops at Scott’s Orchard in Hazel Green for apple picking, lunch at Mildred’s Restaurant in Ardmore, renowned for its fried chicken and scratch-made dishes, and Hubert’s Family Farm in New Market for sunflower and zinnia gathering.
The experience includes motorcoach transportation, a guided orchard tour, a wagon ride, and a keepsake aluminum bucket for flower picking. With fresh apple treats, scenic farm views, and community fellowship, Fall on the Farm offers a wholesome celebration of the season’s bounty.

Travel to Pigeon Forge, TN and Asheville, NC this holiday season to celebrate the festivites and joy of the holiday season. Includes three nights at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Pigeon Forge; eight meals including 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches (the Grove Park Inn and Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant), 3 dinners at (Biltmore Estate, Puckett's Restaurant, and Carion's Italian Grill); tickets to Country Tonite Theater Christmas Show, "Remembering Red" tribute show of Red Skelton Comedy, and ARRAY Holiday Variety Show. 2026 Sound of Music

Join the Wallace State Community College Alumni Association on January 31, 2026, for a delightful day trip to Huntsville, AL, to see The Sound of Music performed by the Broadway Theater League. This heartwarming musical, featuring beloved songs like “Do-Re-Mi” and “Edelweiss,” will be enjoyed from premium Orchestra 3 seating. The trip includes round-trip transportation and a delicious brunch at The Grille on Main in the Village of Providence. Tickets are $170.

Do I have to be a former student or graduate to travel with the Alumni Association?
No, anyone may travel with the Association
Do Alumni Association members receive a discount?
Yes, members of the Association typically receive a $100 per person discount on overnight trips.
How do I join the Alumni Association?
You did not have to attend or graduate from WSCC to join the Alumni Association. Membership dues benefit WSCC student scholarships.

Do people travel alone?
Absolutely – we have people that travel alone or up to groups of four to a room. If you would like a roommate, you can express this to the travel coordinator and they will put you in touch with anyone else seeking a roommate.
What are the benefits of group travel?
You can leave all the planning and details to us! Just get on the bus (or plane) and we take you where you need to go to have a wonderful time. Group travel is a safe way to explore destinations – both new ones and those you may choose to revisit.
If a traveler requires a refund and paid by credit card, they will be refunded, less the credit card fees.
